I decided to follow Yeldin’s tests in seeing how different lenses might effect the actual resolution an image. I also looked at how different recording options might play out in a 4K world and what really matters. Surprises ahead.
Lets call this part 1 of a review on this cine prime lens. I have a ton of cool B roll I didn’t use from Hawaii when I shot parts of this I really should show everyone. My next video to be sure !
How did I post about part 2 and skip part 1 ? silly. Here is a look at this lens which is mostly all pretty shots, lens flares, Las Vegas, Madison WI and a few other spots.
A new video taking a look a the SLR Magic MicroPrime 12mm Cine lens. Shot on a Fujifilm X-T3 in 4K it will give you some insight into the performance of this lens on a camera some folks complain is too sharp. I think this lens will give you really nice and more organic looking images.
Sometimes you need a little more reach with a lens. I’ve even used this with a 50mm prime to get 75mm. This adapter unlike Canon’s will work with pretty much any lens, not just long tele glass. It also doesn’t suffer from a rear element that protrudes past the rear of the lens mount. Optically its on par with any of the big name lens extenders.
